Title: Unlocking core at lower frequency
Post by: AppleBred on November 18, 2009, 02:26:32 pm
Hi
I have GA-MA785GMT - UD2H and AMD X3 720 BE CPU
CPU run fine at 3.5 GHz (2.8 GHz default) on standard voltage.
I try to unlock fourth core, but system was not perfect stable.
Is there any way how run original 3 cores at overlocked speed a and fourth core for example at 1 or 2 GHz, becouse at this frequency it could be stable ?
Thanks and sory for my english.

Hi,
There are a few links on this forum, Have a search,
Here is a link to a guide for cpu's unlocked so far,

http://www.techenclave.com/cpu-mobo-corner/amd-phenom-ii-x3-720-unlocking-140859.html,

Try increasing NB and core voltage slightly to help get it stable,
You could also try setting ACC to Per core
0 +2%
1 +2%
2 +4%
3 +2%
Let us know how you get on,
Regards
