Title: CPU Cooling fan mount
Post by: RangerNeil on May 25, 2012, 12:20:16 am
I'm not sure if this is in the right place - apologies if it's not but....
Can some one please tell me if it is possible to purchase a replacement CPU cooling fan bracket in the UK for my Gigabyte MoBo??  And if so - where from??

My PC suddenly started acting oddly a couple of days ago - when booted up it would get to the BIOS flash screen - then power down immediately.  On opening the case I found the upper clip of the red CPU cooling frame had broken off allowing the cooling fan to swing away from the CPU - this can be seen in the photo below.  I have a nasty feeling it might have cooked the CPU as well.  I really do not want to strip all the parts out to return the MoBo (about 18 months old) as storing them will be a nightmare.

Hallo,

U can try to send mail to your near Gigabyte RMA service, they can sent to you this piece. In the past I request this piece for my old AM2 MOBO and they sent to me.
