Title: Ram sockets in motherboards.
Post by: Ben on June 01, 2012, 01:38:08 pm
Just a thought, with aftermarket CPU coolers would it be feasible to have the M/Boards RAM sockets slightly angled thereby facilitating the removal/replacement of ram chips?

Ben.

A good idea Ben!

I must admit as one who is commonly swapping out components anything that made life easier would be appreciated. Trouble is though that manufacturers don't seem to listen to the rank and file of users and it would mean retooling which would cost them money.

Thanks 'DM'

Yeah it would be nice, but you never know it might happen one day, another possibility is to have the sockets on the back of the board.

They are forever upgrading their boards, so hopefully they will read this & take these suggestions into consideration, then again they might come up with a totally different idea.

Time will tell, look how far we have come since the first boards came out.

Ben.
PS freezing here, 3c at night 14c during the day. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
