Title: Z77X-UD5H SLI Issue
Post by: Chris_Waddle on June 19, 2012, 02:01:46 pm
Hi,

I have just bought this board and am running it with a 3570 in it. I have a GTX580 in PCI-E x 16 slot 1 and another in the 2nd PCI-E x 16 slot.
For some reason I am unable to get the two cards to run in SLI. I am using the SLI bridge supplied and have plugged a sata lead into the ATX4P connector. I know they work in SLI as they have run perfectly for ages in my old motherboard.

I can't move the cards to different slots as they are in a watercooling loop, but both are working and I can use both.

I have uninstalled / re-installed (run driver sweepers etc) and it will not enable or even give me the option to enable.

How do I get SLI to work????

Well I've sorted it out.

In my Rampage III Extreme board I could have the 2 graphics cards in SLI and still have my soundcard in the 4th graphics card slot.

In this board, it seemed to think that my soundcard was another graphics card. Once I took the soundcard out, it detected it was an SLI system.

Hi Chris

Sorry to hear about your problem especially as you have already found the solution. Sound cards do seem to bring a lot of problems with them, probably more than any other type of card as far as compatibility goes. Glad that you sorted it though. ;)
