Title: "Loading Operating System" Message
Post by: NaviShann on August 10, 2012, 02:06:45 pm
Ok, So I've had my Gigabyte motherboard for little over 5 months now and that infernal message is driving me crazy.
The boot splashscreen and the POST screens I can live with, they only flash up for mere milliseconds or 1 second at most.

Does anyone, anywhere know how to get rid of that "Loading Operating System" message, it slows my boot time by a good 5-7 seconds)

My Spec is as follows:

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit SP1
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz 2x4GB
CPU: AMD Phenom ii x4 965 @ 3.4GHz
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6670 1GB DirectCU Silent
SSD: OCZ Agility 3 60GB (Boot Drive)
HDD: 500GB Samsung SATA 2 (Program's & Games)
HDD: 160GB Hitachi SATA 2 (Web Development)
MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3 Rev 1.0 (BIOS F4)
PSU: OCZ 600W ModXStream Pro Modular

Its a completely fresh installtion of Windows 7 so I KNOW there are no virus's, rootkits or anything else for that matter, just plain and simple Operating system and antivirus. (I installed the OS onto the SSD yesterday)

If anyone has any ideas please feel free to share them.

Thank you.

NaviShann.

Hi and welcome,

The "Loading Operating System" message is just a standard message in my opinion. The  other Gigabyte splash screen can easilly be disabled by going into the BIOS and doing it from there. The POST screen is standard and you can't do anything to clear that.

It is possible to even get rid of the "Starting Windows" screen but you don't gain a lot from doing away with it.
