Title: GA-MA790X-DS4 with Phenom 9950
Post by: dwood on September 26, 2008, 08:53:15 am
I have the GA-MA790X-DS4 running a Phenom 9950 and have read several reviews of the GA-MA790X-DS4 having issues with the mosfets overheating. I'm not going to overclock the 9950 and would like to know if it is recommended to purchase a mosfet cooler for the GA-MA790X-DS4, if so what one is compatible for this board?

Thanks in advance,

Dan

Hi Dan

in my opinion no need to install mosfet cooling in your case.
can you provide with links of such reviews ?

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the quick reply.

The main reviews are from customers at newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductReview.aspx?Item=N82E16813128075 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductReview.aspx?Item=N82E16813128075).

The main reasons I went for this board was a work colleague has been using it for a good 6 months with no problems and it support for the Phenom 9950, but I thought I would get some official reassurance from you at Gigabyte to settle this once and for all.

Regards,

Dan
