Motherboards with Intel processors / Does the Gigabyte B360M AORUS Gaming 3 Intel 8th Gen Motherboard support Win11?

I am trying to install Win11 on my PC and verifying the compatability via Windows PC Health Check, and was told the following:
* TPM 2.0 is not supported.
* This PC must support Secure Boot

I was able to enable the TPM 2.0 support in the BIOS and now PC Health Check does not show this message however the Secure Boot option is a problem.

To enable the Secure Boot option in the BIOS, I have to disable the CSM Support. This then shows the Secure Boot option however no matter which Secure Boot options I try, the Boot Option Priorities menu shows NO drives and booting just gets me back into the BIOS. The only way I can boot back into my existing Win10 OS is to disable Secure Boot then enable CSM Support.

Would I assume that since my OS is installed on an MBR partition that this is the reason Secure Boot does not show any drives?

I am running Windows 11 on this machine.

what version & edition of Windows 11 are you using?  type winver.exe in the Run dialog box to show the version & edition of Windows 11 {latest one is version 23H2}

I've tried a few Realtek drivers with no change. I'm almost thinking this is a Windows issue and not the driver, but I don't know how to test this assumption.

All other GIGABYTE products / Does the Gigabyte M27Q rev2 really support HBR3 on DP 1.2?

Hi I am looking at the Gigabyte M27Q rev2  (https://www.gigabyte.com/Monitor/M27Q-rev-20/sp#sp)   and I have a question:

The spec sheet says it has a DisplayPort 1.2 but also claims the monitor supports HBR3 which was introduced with DP 1.3   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DisplayPort#Specifications.

The Supported Timing List in the manual only shows support for HBR2 resolutions and framerates without specifying color depth 8 or 10bit.

So in 10bit mode, is the monitor limited to 1440p 120Hz and 4K60 (downscaled signal) ?   Or can it support HBR3 resolutions and framerates (e.g.:  10bit  1440p 170Hz and 4K60Hz+) ?


Tldr: does the monitor really support HBR3 resolutions and framerates on a DP 1.2?

Check your case and connections closely.  What connector on the motherboard are you using?  And, are you 100% sure the pin configuration on your connector matches the pin config on the board?

I've seen the wiring on some cases match all except one pin which can cause issues.  Are you using the correct BIOS setting for audio? 

With the RealTek driver uninstalled, how does the system behave with native audio drivers?

Greetings,
Test with a different monitor cable.  If the behavior is the same, I'd perform a CMOS reset. 

If the issue follows, you can try another chipset and display driver.  If none of these things help, its the CPU or motherboard.

I have a Gigabyte Z690 UD AX DDR4 mainboard with an Intel i9-1200K CPU. The lastest BIOS is installed. I am running Windows 11 on this machine.

Whenver I have the Realtek(R) Audio enabled in the Device Manager under Sound, video and gaming controllers the audio devices go crazy. It's like I'm enabling and disabling the audio chip dozens of times per second. I need to disable the Realtek device in the Device Manager if I want audio to my work normally for other devices (displayport/HDMI, webcam microphone, etc.)

Normally, I use the audio out from my videocard over DisplayPort. I want to use a set of headphones in the audio jacks on my computer. I can't do this as long as this device is going berzerk.

I've tried a few Realtek drivers with no change. I'm almost thinking this is a Windows issue and not the driver, but I don't know how to test this assumption.

I've attached a video to show what is happening, and a picture of the device properties.

Any idea how can I fix this?

Hi,
The bios version is F25, the cpu is G4400.
Onboard graphics.
The display is Samsung SyncMaster 203B.
No additional adapters.
No, haven't done CMOS reset.

The situation now is that after the sleep mode, I have to restart the pc three! times. on the first attempt the display is a bit dimm and sort of flashing, on the second attempt the display is totaly dark and on the third time it's coming up normally.

What BIOS rev and processor are you running?

Are you using onboard graphics or a dedicated GPU?  (What brand/model)?

What display (brand/model/size, and what's it connected to?

Are you using any adapters?

Have you performed a CMOS Reset?  Does the behavior persist?
