Hey guys,
I recently finished my build comprised of and intel i7 3930k with the Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4 mobo, using an EVGA GTX 780.
I am having a problem with entering the BIOS. When I power on the computer it pops up with the Mobo splash screen and whenever I start hitting
"delete", or F9, F12, nothing happens, it just sits there. Then after an entire minute or two the computer boots into Windows. It got to the point to where I had to get a cheap EVGA GT 640 card just to boot into the BIOS in order to install Windows. Now that I have Windows working with my 780 I want to return the 640, but I need to fix my problem first.
My mobo is on the latest non-beta BIOS which is F2. I have done the GTX 780 firmware update from EVGA, but none of those fixed the issue.
It is really frustrating not being able to get into the BIOS without switching the cards out... not to mention having to wait a minute or two for Windows to boot from my SSD...
If you guys could help me out I would certainly appreciate it!
