DisplayPort Problems on GA-H77TN v1.1 and GA-B75TN v1.1

I know there are many threads with display port problems and talk about using an active adapter to use DisplayPort to hdmi or dvi. Here is what I am using.

The cable I am using is

Looked at the IC inside and has
NXP PTN3361B - HDMI/DVI level shifter with dongle detect support and active DDC buffer
http://www.nxp.com/products/interface_and_connectivity/displayport/high_speed_multiplexer/PTN3361BBS.html
datasheet http://www.nxp.com/documents/data_sheet/PTN3361B.pdf

I have used this cable on an Intel DQ77KB , ASROCK Z87E-ITX, and Avantech AIMB-224G2 and it works fine.

The Gigabyte motherboards do not detect the cable or output to the monitor. So I am wondering what is the problem. I measured the voltage between pins 19 and 20 and it is confirmed voltage is being outputted from the display port. My guess it is the motherboards hot plug detect signal. Anyone have problems like this?
