Crucial ssd install on EX58-UD5

Crucial ssd install on EX58-UD5
« on: October 14, 2014, 02:55:23 pm »
Hi everyone.
I'm trying to install a crucial ssd on my EX58-UD5, does anyone
Know the bios settings I need to set before install of drive?
Will be installing win 7 from legit DVD.
Reset CMOS? Remove other drives first?
There is almost nothing about this on the net and
Crucial support have been next to useless!
Any help will be much appreciated.

Go to Integrated Peripherals (SATA RAID/AHCI Mode). You should set the sata port to AHCI. It will be set to disable by default.

Sorry, one more thing, if I set the port like this will my other existing storage drives still be available? As they were installed before the port change was made.
Thanks.
