All gone from bad to worse my side, Id re flashed the f10 bios as suggested, np done many times... theyve provided me with a new bios to install but hadnt supplied the all the info required, in the period where i was waiting for a reply all of my usb ports started at first it seemed not being able to read usb sticks, id formatted them on my spare computer but once they get inserted into my "main" comp the flash no longer seems readable on any of my comps, 4 usb stick that no longer work later and windows wants to fix drive errors which is fine, I though "Ive turned caching on and off recently when flashing the bios and only use the safe method, ill be fine", now my motherboard cant communicate with my boot device.....
constant restart loop, so sad pcupgrade didnt stock the z77 board I was after.
As a gigabyte customer of many years who builds probably 10+ systems with their boards a year I know this is all a bunch of random bad luck and their support despite being slow to initially reply are being helpful but I rekon with a 5 year old board im about to stretch the limit of their capacity to help.
Ive run out of usb drives for now if i could even flash my bios, if I could get any of my usb ports to read flash, if I could get my motherboard to accept I have hard drives. Weird that all the usb devices that arnt storage were working fine, yknow, till i couldnt get into windows......
Im gonna strip the comp down and attempt to trouble shoot with just the boot drive and bare essentials peripheral wise and see if I can get into a better place than i am now.
Its like a perfect storm of computing all the while knowing your lifeboat is two years out of its warranty and your life insurance hasnt been paid.
Should this thread be moved from "cant overclock" to "cant turn on"?
Making a real effort to stay sunny side up at the moment.
