Now I'm using three 1gb, running in flex memory mode, CIA2 set racing (894mhz) with no problems,
You did test all four ram sticks in at 800MHz without any overclocking right?

Just for a test try setting the ram at a lower speed to 667MHz for all the ram sticks in.

I am sure you could be right there Dark Mantis. The original Dominators and the new GSKILLs work fine at 1066mhz even at 1.8v. The additional Dominators would not work even at 2.1v / 667mhz

The problem being that with these heatspreaders on you cant even see the chips to see what make they are so unless the manufacturer makes a change to the numbers you wont be any the wiser. That is often why there is a letter tagged on to the end of a modules id number to identify the chip manufacturer.

No overclocking, C1 disable, EIST disable, CIA2 disable.
the thing is, all adjustment have to be done before I insert the last memory chip, sort of time consuming task.

Well the (667) memory Ideal worked.
I had a old pair of Corsair Value RAM VS1GB667D2 5-5-5-15 combind with Twin2x-2048-6400DHX, and it works now I have 4GB dual channel memory.

Just need to test it now.

Wow Windows Experience Index went from 5.9 to 7.2       ......not sure why?    ...am only running at 666 Mhz

To be honest the Windows Experience Index is a total waste of time. As you can see it can easilly give false readings and the reason yours went up is because of the amount of memory you have installed now. If you want top check properly use one of the proper benchmarking programs available.

Right then off you go to report the bug to Gigabyte unless its a  limitation that the P45 can't run all four slots at 800MHz.

Your other option is to overclock the FSB which would up the RAM speed then set to 667MHz.

I ran PerformanceMark 64bit and it wasn't to bad, I have tried down clocking the 800 memory to 666 but it still wouldn't work.
with the new twin2x2048-6400c5dhx v5.1 and my old Value ram in first slot for timing reference, it work great!
