GA-X58A-UD3R POST Problems

Just set up the computer a couple of weeks ago. Worked fine until this past weekend. I was working on a short video file and got a BSOD. Rebooted, but the Computer would not P.O.S.T. Reset the bios on the back of the motherboard, but that didn't work.
Then Sunday morning I took out the cmos battery, waited one minute and replaced it. CMOS was reset and computer booted fine.
Monday evening, All I get is the Gigabyte splash screen and it never goes any further. Tried resetting cmos and replacing the battery again, but nothing works now. Does this indicate a bad motherboard?
Update: I was finally able to reach someone at tech support and I was able to get the machine to POST and he suggested that I upgrade the bios to F5 which I did. 15 minutes later I get a BSOD. I reset the cmos settings to "Failsafe" mode and used the rest of the evening with no BSOD, but I'm not sure if I am running at optimum speed.  Any suggestions like memory timings that may be causing problems?

 Hi,
 there's a few posts regarding bsod's issues and memory configs/timings around here, but it appears that the ud3r's seem a little bit picky regrading memory?
 In my case, just lately, I had my i930 OC'd to 3.66 GHz, and my G.Skill tri-channels running at 1333Mhz, every once in awhile the Memory sets itself back down to 1066, so I set my memory timings up,  to post at 1666Mhz and haven't ANY problems at all -works great now.

 anyhow, It sounds like you set defauts in your BIOS to "Optimzed defaults". If so, and your using windows, you can try Giga's Overclock utility -Easy Tune 6, http://www.giga-byte.com/Support/Motherboard/Utility_List.aspx
 or whatever the latest is.

 It OC's safely. Either way, its a good tool to see your timings...
 I used it to get my i930 to easily clock an i975, afterwards I went back in BIOS and got even more out of it.
 Hopefully, that'll help.

I've had all those problems, and after numerous Q/A with gigabyte they finally told me to RMA it.

Unplugged a usb card reader and it booted fine.
