Hello, my pc specs are:
cpu : i7 960
ssd : ssd intel 80 gb
hdd: wd sata 3(plugged into intel sata 2 port)
gpu : gigabyte gtx 480
mobo: gigabyte ud3r x58a rev.2
psu : akasa 1000w
i wanna ask if there is problem because i have sata 3 hdd into sata 2 controler intel but working good..

i want to make hderase on my ssd and i dont know how someone can tell me the steps? what i must do before and after.

Well if you are using it in AHCI mode you will have to select IDE mode instead and then use a program like HDDErase to  actually wipe the drive.
Probably the easiest way is to move the drive to another controller first so that you cna carry on using your primary controller in AHCI mode.

Hello thanks for reply, if i just unplug the other hd and the dvdrom, then set to ide, then i make erase on ssd and after the restart i plug them again and i make the format?
will work?

Yes after you have run  the secure erase you can then select AHCI again and do a fresh install.

that link with the file iso you send me have nothing inside i cant run it ... i make my usb flash bootable .

is that link right?

It should be a small iso file, as far as I know it's working.

Intel SSD toolbox can secure erase from Windows, but only if the ssd is not the boot drive. As a workaround you could clone the ssd to a hard drive so that you can do it that way.

If you have a drive with TRIM,  you don't need to wipe it.
