Well gotta start somewhere ... I'm reading I "might" have problems with my impending install (Revodrive x2) and a Dedicated Raid PCI card with a most likely error of " Not enough Option Rom Space"... looking at several work arounds and noticed the X58A-UD3R supports EFI ...is this an area I should be reading up on as a possible fix ... I also noticed this post by Absic...........Absic is quite right Gigabyte have made provision for this on their newer boards by doubling the size of the BIOS chips so that they can update with UEFI when they are ready. It is being brought in slowly by design so that if there are any problems with the implementation it won't prove disastrous.
So has the GA-X58A-UD3R vers 2 got this new larger BIOS Chip , and if it has will this not give me a better shot at loading multiple drives/raid or is the extra ROM space not available unless I load EFI/UEFI and the applicable drivers
