Gigabyte Sniper M3 and Virtu MVP?

Gigabyte Sniper M3 and Virtu MVP?
« on: July 18, 2012, 01:24:34 am »
Hi,

I've got the above MB with a 3770K and a 4mb 670SC. When I run the Virtu MVP installer it says 'no integrated graphics detected' whether the iGPU is set to auto or enabled in the bios and irrespective of how much memory I alocate to the integrated garphics via the motherboard.

Any ideas how to get it to spot the built-in graphics?

Thanks.

OK - sorted it myself. You need to enable the iGPU in BIOS and allocate it some memory (I gave it 512mb). Now reboot and install the Intel iGPU HD4000 driver from the Gigabyte website. Now run the appropriate version of the Virtu MVP software (32 or 64bit) and it sets itself up.

It's early days but an improvement is noticeable and 3DMark has gone from 8968 to 10880.

EVGA 670 Superclocked 4mb

Hi and welcome.

I am happy to see that you have already managed to sort out your onchip graphics issue. It can be a bit confusing I know, as have just used this board and written a review with it. The HD4000 graphics are certainly a step up to what was on offer before.

Hi and thanks for the welcome.

I've paid for the HD4000 so I might as well use it! ;D

I'll report back if it proves worthwhile or is just a gimmick.
