GA-Z77X-UD3H issue

GA-Z77X-UD3H issue
« on: October 20, 2012, 10:52:34 pm »
Hey guys,

I just bought a new setup:

Intel i7 3770K
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H
MSI GTX 660 TFZ
8GB corsair vengeance

I've connected them all, but, all when i power it on, is the M_BIOS led to be orange and the panel on the down right corner says 97....nothing on the monitor no screen, no BEEP sound... :(

Any ideas what's wrong? I've checked all cables 4 times now....

EDIT:

That "97" is the debug screen panel and 97 means: "Console Output devices connect (ex. Monitor is lighted)"

That's what manual says... any clue?

you can unplug your graphics card and use onboard grahpics to boot up.
check if it is ok to boot up with onboard graphics.
then update to latest bios from gigabyte website.
then plug your msi graphics card to check it again.
please also check if your graphics card also external power connected.

Hi and welcome.

Firstly if you have just bought the system and it is giving you problems I would suggest returning it and let the builder/retailer sort it out. You don't want to fall foul of any warranty small print.

If you still want to do it yourself then I would check that you even have a motherboard buzzer installed. A lot of people don't bother with them now which I consider stupid considering the cost and the value of them when faultfinding. If it is missing  get one and install it.

As already suggested try connecting the monitor to the motherboard port instead of the GPU and see if that makes any difference.

You could also try removing one stick of RAM and then rebooting. Put the remaining module in the first slot.
