I have a GTX-670 GV-N670OC-2GD which I'm putting in a Z68 ASRock Gen 3 motherboard with an i5-2500k.
When I put the card in the PCIE-2 slot (16x physical, 16x electrical) the system will not recognize it. The fans on the board go to full speed but windows does not recognize it nor does it show the bios. However, the descrete graphnics work fine.
When I put the card in the PCIE-4 slot (16x physical, 8 x electrical) it works fine.
This card replaces my 5870's which were in crossfire.
The 670 is showing BIOS F10. I was going to flash the bios, but I don't know which one to try.
The downloads show the following:
F4 :NVIDIA Source BIOS Version:80.04.31.00.58 and
F12: NVIDIA Source BIOS Version:80.04.31.00.09
So the bios version f4 has the higher nvidia version but the f10 is the higher F number.
Suggestions?
