Hello there,
My Gigabyte GA-880GA-UD3H rig is running a AMD Phenom II X6 1090T processor. Until recently I was able to overclock my system to 4000 Mhz
without any issues. When it was working, the default vcore value in bios was always 1.3 V. At this time the default value is 1.475. To me, the default value appears to have changed permanently.
CPUZ and other CPU monitoring applications now show that vcore is fluctuating between 1.3 and 1.475 V. This was never the case before, when it always read a nice, stable 1.3
or 1.55, depending on the OC configuration.
When overclocking to 4000 Mhz, I always set vcore to 1.55 V: It worked every time. Now, however, setting vcore from 1.475 to 1.55 always results in BSOD.
Trying to reset the vcore to 1.3 (the default value which worked), I have tried everything from resetting bios, hard resetting bios, and updating bios. So far I have been unsuccessful, and I am very puzzled as to what may have caused this problem.
I am currently running bios version f7. Trying to solve the problem, I have tried both f3 (original) and f6, however the vcore value is still stuck at 1.475.
I have previously posted another similar message, but at that time only received OT answers and no solutions... For reference, here is the link for that message:
