GA-890GPA-UD3H (Ver 2.1) - Is there a bios flash for FX processors?

My motherboard is GA-890GPA-UD3H ver 2.1  is there anyway to support FX processor?

If not what is faster than my amd quad core phenom II x4 amd black edition 3.4ghz (not overclocked)?

I've seen a the very bottom of the CPU support list the FX-4130, but next to it it says BIOS N/A. I think that means you lucked out.
Honestly? You won't really do much better than the combo you have now (assuming that CPU is a 965). 6 core PhenomIIs are thin on the ground now, even if you find one of those I can't see any real improvement in day to day use.
Maybe it's time to take that bigger step?

Your motherboard version of 2.1 is the wrong sockett to support the fx chips you must have the black PCB found on your board but version 3.1.  If you can find a 1090t BE cpu that would last you for a long time but they are very hard to find even the 1100 is hard to find. I use the 1090t overclocked to 3.6 so just a hair up and it is and has ran smooth since i got it when it came out.

Thank you for your advise but that thread only says there is a beta version of the new bios?

Does that mean Gigabyte will support them, also has anyone tryed that beta bios?

The beta BIOS has been removed. And yes - I did try the BIOS. It does NOT support ANY overclocking. I was not able to check its actual compatibility as I only have a 1090T.

You would be far better off with a new MB that ACTUALLY supported your processor. Take Gigabytes advice - they removed the beta BIOS for a REASON.

You would be far better off with a new MB that ACTUALLY supported your processor. Take Gigabytes advice - they removed the beta BIOS for a REASON.

The main reason is that they want you to buy ,which is perfectly ok ,they are making hardware to sell and make profits.
The other reason is that some useless features like unlocking cores or the network card feature regarding networkboot are not present due ot lack of BIOS chip space.Installing the beta for FX though would have no impact on the unlocking features as FX are locked in this aspect.

The only question is if the FX will perform properly and if the FX BSOD fixed with later BIOS-es will happen or not.

The lack of BIOS support on the other hand for this mobo is not a good thing.just discovered that the board has issues with some bootable USB sticks opposed to the 970 based board i have. And this is annoying.

I can upload the 2 beta BIOS-es stated to support FX at that time if Absic or DarkMantis allow but it s the users risk.
The strange thing would be that the FX to work just fine with that beta BIOS. :)
