Hi,
Have you enabled USB in bios?
I think you hit F2 to enter bios, and F12 for boot options,
Cheers

have enabled legacy usb support in bios and I have set the boot order in bios and from the f12 menu and have tried it on all of the usb boot devices.Just wondering can the motherboard bios read an ntfs flash drive? Because thats the format everywhere I have read says to make it.

Just tried fat32 and it made no difference the computer ignores flash drive and boots into windows normally bypassing flash drive no matter how I set boot order.

Yea that is the guide I used. I tried with the microsoft tool and by using cmd. I have no idea why it wont work. Maybe missing something in bios??

EDIT: just tried the flash drive on a msi p45 board and it boots fine so that rules out the flash drive.

Hi,
Try and disable Legacy USB Storage Detect in the Integrated Peripherals BIOS page,
That should allow you to boot with USB Devices connected.
Disconnect any other usb devices,
cheers
Ps have you tried disconnecting your existing hard drive ?,
Then just try to boot from the usb drive!
