ICH10 is faster for your SSD (Google around for results)
Also I have as yet, not found any confirmation that ATA commands (Trim) are verified working with the Marvel controller (and any Windows query of course will only show as "enabled" which does NOT necessarily mean "working).
I tested Marvel vs Intel over several days, there is no question Intel has the edge with a typical SSD.
Also remember SATA 3.0 = zero benefit for your SSD, since none of the current crap can saturate SATA 2.0
Please don't fall victim to urban myth, it pays to learn the capabilities of SATA
