Z68XP-UD4 - USB 3.0 and Virtu Problems
« on: August 17, 2011, 07:05:51 pm »
I got my new UD4 and after installing all the drivers from the disk and website I can't get the back USB3 ports to work nor virtu to work in badaboom. Can anyone help me.

Also for dual channel support, where should my two stick of RAM be? Both are in the slots closest to the CPU atm.

Ram/Memory population is well documented in your Manual.....Page 16 if I remember correctly from a post I read earlier today

For the USB3 ports......if there's no yellow gremlins in device manager.......do they work at USB2 as in at all ?

Kick out all the unnecessary software for the time being and concentrate on getting the hardware working first....then load up all the software toys.

I managed to get the RAM and USB3 to work. But I can get quick sync to work properly. I've used the drivers from the CD for the intel vga drivers and the virtu software but when I try mediaespresso 6.5 trial (monitor plugged into my mobo btw) it still takes 40 seconds to transcode a 127mb video into another 720p video. And my CPU usage is up at 40% during the transcode too even though I have nothing else running.

Is that normal?

A partial win is a win.......with the trans-coding.......out of my area!.......Ask me about Photoshop, HDR, ect and we can have a conversation!

Although if you Hit on the Adobe forum re trans-coding problems, I'm sure you'll get plenty of hits/help with your specific issue.....lots of Gigabyte people there too.

Leave this one open though.........you will get responses in time, .... just not my area ;)
