crazy temp?

I bought this m68mt-d3 rev2.3 board   http://www.gigabyte.pt/products/page/mb/ga-m68mt-d3_23/   and the motherboard temp in everest, speedfan goes to 55,56º. in gaming the cpu of course goes up, and the CPU temps goes to 50,51. But this temp for the AMD 955be CPU is Ok, but not for the motherboard.
I never have bought a Gigabyte before so i know nothing about the Gigabytes Motherboards.
56,55º is ok?


I noticed that the CPU fan change speed according to the motherboard temps, not to the cpu temp, so what is that?

other temps like the gpu, HD, looks Ok.

4gb ddr3, ATI 5770, x2 955be.

what are you using to monitor the temperatures?

You need to make sure there is a good flow of air through your PC Case, especially if the ambient temperature is high.

Yes the CPU fan was installed correctly.

 probably the pc have a good air flow, i opened the pc to test and the temps still the same.

the idle temps looks good for the motherboard i think, 37,38º, but with full CPU the motherboard goes crazy.

sorry I misunderstood your original question and thought you were getting idle temps around 55C. If they are occurring when you are actually using the PC and especially when the CPU is under full load this is normal and nothing to worry about. My motherboard hits 60C+ when I am doing some heavy recording or video transcoding!

If it is only the motherboard temperature that is seemingly incorrect it might be a faulty sensor. This is not that unusual and if you can verify that it is reporting incorrectly that would be worth doing.

Yes you are quite right but if it is the sensor that is faulty then they will all give an incorrect readout.

I don't think it is a faulty sensor and I believe everything is OK. Check through the post again.....
Idle temps: 37 - 38C
Underload Temps: Around 55C

This would indicate that the sensor is fine and the temperatures are about normal for this board.

I used HW Monitor too.
I'll buy a cooler master cpu heatsink because when the motherboards temp goes high for some reason the cpu fan goes high too, i dont know what the relationship  between the cpu fan and the motherboard temps.
 but that AMD box fan is noisy(6000rpm) .so im gona have to clean the thermal paste e put another one, so if something was  poorly installed....

And about the motherboard temps some guy of the  gigabyte´s support told me that this motherboard safe temp is 50º.

6000RPM!....that's not a PC........ that a blinkin Hovercraft, Is that the stock cooler AMD  supply now.......I had no Idea AMD had such a thermal head or is it just the design of the present cooler ??

 I run full water.... but But too many people neglect there's still numerous components that need some disturbed air moving over/across them, This latest build of mine has a 180mm fan on the side spinning at 800 rpm........I challenge anyone who say's you can hear it but I'm positive it supplies just a little bit of air movement over the entire motherboard face.........I also use a formula learnt many years ago of "Case supply (Cubic feet per minute) should be 2x greater then exhaust".........Positive pressure..........works a treat!........that and  top blower (chimney exhaust) fans

A positive pressure also helps to keep out excessive dust.

 Pretty cool material..... hay!....but don't get me started, been having crazy thoughts of hooking some of this up to a negative ion generator as a dust magnet and the by product of negative ions in the house to improve health and well being........maybe I shouldn't be posting this on the open net! hee hee
