installing drivers
« on: June 10, 2011, 10:11:09 pm »
Hi I am new to using a forum like this so appoligise for any issue I may create.
My problem:
I have had to rebuild the system due to a virus.
I have a GA-M61SME-S2Land have downloaded from gigabyte what I believe is the four files for the drivers.
But I am having problems installing them. some files have install application, but some do not.
These files list a group of folders which contain two files.

Is there an application that I can use to simply install all the drivers for me.
The machine is using XP and when looking at device drivers I can not see the ethernet installed.
I suspect this is noy allowing the browser to operate and access the www.

hope you can help.

Hi there,

if you use the link given above and download the Nvidia LAN Driver you should get a 7Zip folder on your desktop.

Double click the 7Zip folder and a dialogue box comes up asking where you want to extract the files to. Make sure this is your desktop.

You may get another box pop up asking you to confirm your action.

click the run button and the 7Zip file will be extracted onto your desktop as a folder.

Open the folder and you should see a list of items

you need to click the icon that says: Lsetup and the Install procedure will run automatically. You will be asked to confirm the install of the drivers though so click the boxes as appropriate.

Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.
