Fan headers on the Z77-D3H MB
« on: September 18, 2012, 01:52:40 pm »
Are all 3 (excluding CPU  Fan) headers on this Board PWM compliant please or will I waste money buying 4 pin PWM fans? I appreciate 3 pin fans will work or I can connect direct to power supply.

thanks

Hi

From what I can see all the fans apart from SYS_FAN1 are PWM.

SYS_FAN1 is just standard 3 pin. You can see the pin outs on page 22 here:

No - they are all 4 pin headers.

Yes they all physicaly have four pins but that doesn't mean that they are all electrically connected.  ;)
