Hi Cookiebun

I tend to not overclock my chips except  when specifically required as they are fast enough anyway. In saying that though a mild overclock is so easy that it is there for the taking if you have the K chip. It is easy to just increase the multiplier for a free easy speed hike.

Hi Dark Mantis, as you say it's there for the taking. I might just give it a little tweak, you said just turn the multiplier nothing else.

Yes, even just upping the multiplier will give a fair gain.

Hi Cookiebun,

nicely done and I have to say that I have found this particular motherboard really nice and easy when it comes to overclocking. I have my i5 2500k running at 4.8Ghz without any problems.

I have just posted a mini review of this motherboard here: http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,10361.0.html which you might find interesting and you might like to add your comments too, especially as you are running an Ivy Bridge processor.
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.
