It looks like Gigabyte has joined the Windows 8 caravan: http://www.gigabyte.com.au/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4365#sp.

Screen resolution has been increased (as required by Win 8), memory capacity has been increased (max 8GB), and new chipset and graphics added; however, it's sad to see that some specifications have dropped, as it appears to have a slower CPU (Celeron 1.1GHz) and USB 3.0 has been dropped. The latter I think is a poor move.

Just in total shock here.

Check the battery specs on the S1081, notice it is the same battery, but the processor is now double the wattage and the memory is standard laptop power memory not LP.

Just can't believe what I am seeing.

Looks like its true. I'm seein it on different news sites and its already been officially announced with the processor being named as a Celeron. :(

This is really going to hurt them.
