Core Performance Boost & Windows 8
« on: November 08, 2012, 04:24:50 am »
I took the plunge and upgraded to Windows 8 on my 880GMA-USB3 with 1065t @ 2.9GHz.

I noticed that while using Windows 7, CPB would be all over the place, but under Windows 8 I have seen single-threaded processes sustain clock speeds of 3.4GHz. The WEI has crept up from 7.4 to 7.5 as well, just shy of an i5 2500 lol!

Seems something got fixed.

Windows 8 is really windows 7 with a new look and no start button. What got fixed was the way the operating system handles core instruction.  I am glad it works for you i actually dont like 8 as i game alot and it is harder to get where i want so i am sticking with 7 for now.
