Z77-D3H PCI-E Issue

Z77-D3H PCI-E Issue
« on: November 19, 2012, 10:43:23 am »
Hi everybody,

This is my first experience with Gigabyte motherboards. I'm using a I5-2500K and a Sapphire 7950 and it simply does not detect the graphic card ...
My PSU is a 620W Antec (the one in the Sonata IV). I've used the integrated graphic card to install Windows and tried to install the 7950 in it but it just doesn't detect it no matter what I try...

If someone could help that would be great !  :)

What do you mean by it not being detected?

Does it show up in the BIOS?  Does it show up in windows?  does you monitor show anything when plugged into the 7950?

If you installed with integrated graphics, sometimes it stays there even after switching to a video card.  Try plugging them both in on your monitor if it have multiports.  or just try to disable the onboard or tell it use video card (usually PEG).

Hi Mark,

Thanks for answering. I can't access that computer during week and I don't remember if it was detected in the BIOS.

Into Windows' device manager it doesn't show up and I have an uninstalled port called "Simple PCI communication..."

When I plug the 7950 into the screen it says "No signal" and nothing shows up.

Thanks for helping  :)
