ga-x58a-ud7 & win7 x64 won't shut down

   help, can figure out why even after a bios upgrade won't shut down when in raid mode ?

Hi I had the same problem
 I uninstalled  the gagabyte sata and raid driver in the control panel
It fixed my non shut down problem " the pc would stay on  while the display had switched off "

It is a driver issue, you can download the latest Gigabyte SATA2 drivers for your board from the gigabyte website and re-install them.

khm didnt know abt such a problem really. i never install additional software like the sata raid etc but dont know if they're required on this mobo as its got the sata3 as well. i still haven't fired it up yet,but when time comes ill dl the latest drivers and hope not to get the same probs !!! (fingers crossed).
