Z77-D3H not recognising graphic card in PCI-E
« on: December 29, 2012, 11:09:23 am »
Hi,

Need help with this motherboard. I am trying to install GEFORCE GT430 Graphic card, but always get message that card is not compatible with drivers. In device manager Graphic card is shown as unrecognised item. Please advise.

Thank you.

I would try changing the 'PEG Gen 3 Slot Configuration' setting from 'auto' to Gen 2' (PCI-E 2.0).  Go into the bios --> M.I.T. ---> miscellaneous Settings.

Just a stab in the dark but worth a go.

Thanks for your reply Joe.....but that didn't work either.
I have tried contacting support but didn't get any reply from them!

I've had similar issue in rev 1.0 of board. I got intermittents of PCIe x16 slot. GT-520 card would quit and not be recognized again at all in slot (not even a "unrecognized device" in Dev Mgr). It, at first, would not be seen in the PCIe x4 slot, then it started working there. A replacement GT520 made no difference; I just installed an RMA full mobo, and so far the problems are gone. The video is working fine in the PCIe x16 slot as it should. (BTW...I had tried BIOS settings for video, but nothing made a difference on the suspect board).
