z77mx-d3h onboard audio controller problem
« on: December 30, 2012, 02:37:02 am »
I have a loud buzzing static noise coming from my speakers. I checked the speakers on another computer they work fine. I tried another set of speakers and they have the same problem. I believe it's the onboard audio because the buzzing noise is there even if I'm in the bios so it can't be the drivers. When I disable the audio controller in the bios the sound goes away. Also I couldn't get any audio playback at all. I also tried upgrading the bios that didn't solve the problem. Is there any solution to the problem or does the motherboard need to be RMA?

thanks

I wouldn't even bother RMA-ing it because all onboard sound cards are usually a piece of crap. I'd go with Creative Sound Blaster Recon3D, it's not that expensive and not that cheap either around 80$ give it or take.
