GA-EX58A-UD5 Compability

GA-EX58A-UD5 Compability
« on: January 15, 2010, 07:55:43 am »
Has there been any hardware issues with the EX58A-UD5? I know there there were quite a few of ram problems with the EX58-UD5 boards. Has this been resolved in this revision of the board?

As there is very little information regarding compability issues on this motherboard, any information is welcomed.
Anyone with experience with this new board please input.

Thanks

Hi,
There have been a few members having difficulty with settings and configuration for their chosen ram,
But this is not a mobo problem, RTM
just use the memory on the QVL as that has been tested to work,
cheers

I have already purchased the OCZ XMP Ready 6GB kit 1600Mhz ram. Hope all goes well. Will keep everyone updated.

Hello there...I'm building a new custom pc and I'm concerned for compability issues of the GA-EX58A-UD5 motherboard with this memory kit  CMG6GX3M3A1866C7 (Corsair Dominator GT Series 1866mhz 3x2gb 7-8-7-20-2T v1.65). The thing is that in the QVL (Qualified Vendor List) of the Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5 motherboard the Module P/N TR3X6G1866C7GT which is in the list is now discontinued due to failures with the Elpida "Hyper" Ram used on the modules something I found in forums (http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=79691) The new part number is CMG6GX3M3A1866C7 (http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=80925) which that is the module kit I'm going to buy and exists on e-shops.
Now as it seems [from the fact both part numbers have the same speed in mhz (1866) latencies (7-8-7-20-2T) and voltage (1.65)] these ram kits are basicly the same so the new part number CMG6GX3M3A1866C7 is endeed on the QVL list of the GA-X58A-UD5?. Can anyone plz verify that so I should go on purchasing the motherboard and the rams? THX very much. Sorry for my english I'm Greek :)
