G1 Sniper M3 rev 1.0 new build bent CPU Pin
« on: January 21, 2013, 04:01:22 pm »
When I did assemble the CPU to mother board I did find one bent pin I managed to tease it back so it all looked neat and clean but it got me wondering.
is there any utility that you can use to check all the connections are correct once you assemble a cpu to Motherboard.

I am at the moment soak testing for leaks as I water cooled the cpu and waiting for the fluid to De-aerate

Then I shall have to be brave and turn it on.

Does anyone know if it ok to turn on the system without any hard drives or Board fitted just to test the bios.

Yes, you can fire up a motherboard without HDD's and without it fitted into a PC case. Just rest the motherboard on the cardboard box it came in for doing this. Check here: http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,5704.msg45814.html#msg45814 for some images.
