Need Overclocking Guide/Primer using MB Intelligent Tweaker
« on: January 23, 2013, 11:32:01 am »
I have a S-Series MB, GA-P43T-ES3G (http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3637#ov) with a Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93 GHz.

I would like to overclock this system by adjusting the the settings in the MB Intelligent Tweaker (MIT) in BIOS. Does anyone have a guide/primer showing the procedure?

I haven't overclocked before so I'm looking for what settings to change in MIT, what temperatures ranges are acceptable, etc.

Here my CPU temps:

The 1st jpg is at idle
The 2nd jpg is just after running 20 tests using LinX.
As you can see, running LinX peaked my temps at 59C. Most of the time the temps were around 55-57C during the tests.

FYI, my CPU is using passive heat pipe cooling (copper block on CPU with 4 heat pipes going to cooling fins on the computer case).
