Z77X-UP7 Cold Boot issues.
« on: February 10, 2013, 12:47:48 pm »
Hi,

I have the above motherboard running the latest F5 bios. Under the hood I have a 3770K running at 4.7GHz VCore 1.28v Prime Stable. Memory is Corsair Dominator GT 2 x 4GB running at XMP 2134 9-11-10-29 1.5v

No BSOD gaming or encoding, no other issues or crashes.

Issue is purely with cold boot. I often get CPU initialization error code 62 and have to reset several times until system will boot. This is first thing in the morning if the room is warm and then I often get a boot first time.

Is this odd? Any pointers please?

Try to set in BIOS:
Vtt to 1.10V
PWM Phase Control : ExPerf,
Vcore Voltage Response :Fast
Cpu Pll Overvoltage :Enable
Maybe Vdimm to 1.52-1.53V

Glade its sorted. I would also have suggested you Raise IMC volts slightly too just to  cover you even further.

Spoke too soon. Happened again just now. Took ages to post. Now running ok. If I restart now there will be no issues now my rig has been running half an hour.
