I am planning on buying Gigabyte GV-N650OC-1GI on my current motherboard Gigabyte GA-P31-DS3L.

My questions are the following:
1. My motherboard supports PCI Express 1.0 cards and the one I wanna buy is a PCI Express 3.0 Card. Will it be fully compatible? I know there will a be a loss of 1-5%  on performance but my worries are if the motherboard does not even recognise the graphics card. What do you think? Is the card supported?
2. What about the PCIe 2.0 cards?
3. Would you suggest a different graphic card? This one is around 100euro at local store, so If u got a suggestion i'd love to hear it pls

Be aware that I have the latest BIOS for my MOBO (F10A from @BIOS) and I am planning on buying a new PSU unit of 600W with >80% efficiency so the power supply wont be a problem (the current is quite low for this card). I searched the whole internet and couldnt find an answer on this specific motherboard. Generally people say that it will be supported as PCIe is backwards compatible but I would like an experts opinion for that specific mobo so I wont waste my money..

Thanks in advance

Alexander
