« on: February 26, 2013, 05:49:04 pm »
Hi everyone,

I have the a/m motherboard and i am satisfied about it.
But i have a queston.

When i disable the onboard sound in the bios (Version 11) i still see the onboard
in the pc configuration.

I do use ofcourse the creative- xfi xtreme card for sound.

Can somebody tell me what to do?

Thanks in advance.

What video card are you using that is maybe the nvidia software. The on board sound card is realtek.

I'll check mine out and disable it in the bios to see if it shows up.

That`s correct. It`s the nvidia gtx 560 TI.

But nvidia is also named for the onboard sound and i didn`t see realtec.  ::)

That video card has sound too and that is what you might be seeing.

This is your onboard sound. I know it is called Azalia code in the bios but it is a realtek sound card.

0.Realtek ALC888 codec
0.High Definition Audio
0.2/4/5.1/7.1-channel
0.Support for S/PDIF In/Out

Just leave that one alone. That one only works when you have your video card is using a hdmi cable.

Yep i can leave it but i have my doubts.

I play a certain game and when there is a certain sound  i get lag / stutters.
So i want to find out what it causes.

I don't think you can remove it. Just try and disable it and see what happens.

That driver is install when the video driver is install. What game are you playing.

If it is Diablo 3 forget it. A lot of it comes from the server.

I play red orchestra 2  ;)

I haven`t read on the net and on this forum that when you to your control panel, apparates you can disable the driver
under system apparates and then i disable the high definition sound....

I am dutch so i don`t know precise the name what is used in the control panel. Everybody disables it under

controls for sound and video games but mine handling is much better.

Look firsty if your system can have this game :)

It`s cheap and certainly the money worth.

But i mean this, i have made a screenshot. On both spots you have to watch if the onboard is disabled.
In this case i had already disabled the onboard realtec but i have also the nvidia hdmi sound.
