do I need to flash P55A-UD4P BIOS to F6 with an older CPU to use my i3 530?

Hi, I didn't find any posts about the new i3 on P55A-UD4P boards, so am I going to have trouble getting my system going if I don't have a spare i5 or i7?

Hi,
Ask the shop where you buy it from to flash it to F6 you,
Or your local pc shop may do it for you,
cheers

So, the the answer is "yes you need to install an older CPU in order for the board to get into BIOS with the i3" then I take it. I'm not taking my board to a shop. I'll just buy an i5 750.

If the board definatly supports it you should be able to pop your i3 CPU in, then you will get some form of CPU error. From there you can use the q-flash utility and update to latest BIOS :)
There's no place like ::1

It worked right out of the box which had F6 (manufacture date 50th week of 2009). I've screaming profanities for 2+ hours trying to reach a USB port that qflash would read from in my TIGHT!!!*&%#&^%@#&^%#@ space to flash to 7c. Finally I got it.
