GA-M57SLI-S4 (rev. 2.0) with FHk BIOS and a X4 945

New to the forum but not new to Gigabyte at all.

I have a GA-M57SLI-S4 (rev. 2.0) with BIOS FHk and it runs fine with my old 6000+ DC installed. But I just got my new CPU the Phenom II X4 945 Quad and tried to install that and well all I get is a black screen at boot. Per the CPU support list on Gigabytes web site I should be able to run the 945 95W CPU.

Steps I have taken
1. Clear CMOS
2. Set the BIOS to default
3. Verified that it’s the 95 watt CPU via the box and cross checked it with AMD website. http://products.amd.com/en-us/DesktopCPUDetail.aspx?id=588&f1=&f2=&f3=&f4=&f5=&f6=&f7=&f8=&f9=&f10=&f11=&f12=
4. to make sure my motherboard is not damages I popped in the old 6000+ and it boots up without a problem. And that is what I am using right now.

Phenom II X4 945 is the 95w C2 version. HDX945WFGIBOX
