GA-MA74GM-S2 and AMD Dual Core 5050e

Hi, im at my wits end on this problem and i cant figure it out.....

i recently had a virus on my pc that would cause it to freeze, so in an attempt to fix it i reset my bios, i still couldn't figure it out....
i brought it into a computer shop and they fixed the freezing problem but now i only have one of my cores working....

i believe it is because the reset button was pressed, in my ignorance... and now i've tried scouring the internet for answers and i can't come up with anything in vain

i use my computer for gaming and it doesn't have enough oompf to play even simpler games...

i know a core is down because before i could set affinity in my task manager, and now i cant i also looked at the msconfig and for number of processors i can set is only 1... also, the bios doesn't appear to have anything relating to multiple cores being enabled and disabled, i have searched that tirelessly

please help... i can provide any additional info needed- just ask

TL;DR
processor is only running one core because of a bios reset (i think)

Who knows what the guys did.Maybe one core was defective and they turned it off in BIOS.

If this persists and the hardware warranty has finished I would tell you to go for a FM2 combo ,even with a cheap 5300 APU ,instead of buying new old hardware.

i'd hate for that to be true XD
can anyone link me to a bios update for this?

i don't know what the bios is related to... i assume the motherboard, but all the dl's i tried said that it was incompatible....

Press DEL at boot up around the time when the logo show up ,go into the settings and see what amount of CPU cores is enabled.
Press Ctrl +F2 in the first BIOS page ,if it s a non-UEFI or Hybrid BIOS to see all settings.
If the option is greyed out RMA the CPU and mobo.

LE:The setting should be in Advanced BIOS Settings
