Ok, just built a new gaming system. Z77-DS3H mobo, I5-3750k,750w PSU,7850 GPU. Cant use the 3.0 Pci x16 slot, just wont load GPU. Called Gigabyte and they stated that it was an ongoing issue with most Z77 mobos and that the next Bios Flash would fix it. Didn't give me a eta as to when that would be and ive looked through hundreds of forums and extremely few people are having similar issues. Is this really something a Bios Flash can fix or should I just RMA the mobo?

Return board for refund and buy a different board altogether would be my choice.

Other things to consider in your situation.
Your ATI 7850 may have compatibility issues with this board in general, maybe look for bios update for your 7850 card or try a different vid card.
PCIE 3.0 and 7850 (or any other 3.0 vid card) at this point in time really doesn't offer any benefits in performance over pcie 2.0 in real world.
On paper pcie 3.0 offers double the bandwidth, but 7850 card will never even flood the 2.0 bandwidth.
So set the bios to run in PCIE 2.0 for the meantime.
Feel ripped off that your not getting what you've paid for, but as I said pcie 2.0 is no great performance loss.
I know it sux mentally that you have purchased a board, cpu and vid card that supports pcie 3.0 and it's not working for you.

I'm using GA-Z77MX-D3H and GTX 670 and pcie 3.0 works fine from day 1 of purchase.
I also have run my card in pcie 2.0 mode just to bench mark and see what the difference is.
The difference is little to none.

7850 card may be uefi bios.
you may flash to latest bios of motherboard to get auto support for this.
