System freezing randomly , Custom CPU Cooler no problem with temps,  PSU Ok , i bought new ram 8gb xmp default settings and correct ram voltage, flash new bios ,change pci cards places, nothing happened.
Only when i turned off VT-X extensions inside BIOS ,then everything is back to normal, now after 1 year and a half my pc behaves like a normal pc.

Gigabyte Z68A-D3H-B3
i7 2600k Stock everything
4 DIMM's of Transcend aXeRam TX2000KLU ,XMP at 1866.
HAF 932
Silent Pro M700
Sapphire 7870 OC
Asus Xonar D2/PM
Vertex 3 SSD 64GB
normal temps

I have never face something like this with AMD cpu's.

Hi Nick33,  ;)

Welcome to forum,

Have you a Error message or Windows appear in BSOD , by exemple....

Describe when this situation arrive.... after or during a game, making a job with 3D software,  by exemple....

Have you use a Virtual Machine... ? Overclocking or RAID situation ?

There is no BSOD, no logs ,nothing.
The PC just freezes , keyboard leds and mouse leds are ON.keyboard and mouse doesnt respond, PC Screen is frozen displaying picture not black.
It happens completely random ,while surfing, watching a movie, when the pc is idle .RAM is ok,tested many times.I have to reset to unfreeze it.
I have run Prime95 for 24 Hours without an issue , then at random times my pc will freeze again.

Im with vt-x disabled for 4 days and its stable.

Disable the XMP in Bios and set the ram timings manually. See if that helps.

Have you made sure the voltages for your ram is set correctly? Also make sure the timings are correct in your Bios..........

I have checked with 3 different brand memory sticks, voltages are OK.I have also tested 1 memory stick at a time without improving the situation,im sure that RAM isnt a issue here.

I have a very similar problem, I tell them that my motherboard is a GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 with Intel I5 2500k and 8GB of Corsair Vengeance ram. The Cundo pc freezes at rest, or whether I can be doing multiple tasks or playing full load if any problem, but when the processor speed down to rest in incontadas opportunities crashes all, absolutely nothing and does not respond I have to restart from power. In my case the problem attribute more to the microprocessor that the motherboard is not like changing the idle speed to more than 1.6, for example 2.0 and see if that solves the problem, as it seems that it is at that point where it occurs.
