GA-Z77X-UD3H freezes from time to time
« on: June 24, 2013, 09:17:28 pm »
Hi everyone,

please I need help I dont know what the issue is.

the Rig is running stable for days even weeks but from time to time I got freezes. It happens in idle mode or gaming. Sounds start freezing aswell and than the system freezes. pushing the reset button will result in a normal boot.

I've updated the bios /F18 and upgraded CPU cooler (no overclocking) nothing else build in/ attached except mous and keyboard

windows 7 64bit

nothing can be seen in the windows event monitoring

the issue can NOT be reproduced by putting the rig under stress (CPU or GFX benchmarks) memtest was done aswell. I even rewired all the Power supply cables.

please i need your help.

this is my config

in a desperate move I deactivated the VIA chip via Bios and using my usb sound for testing.

I used to have the same problem try to clear CMOS by taking out the motherboard battery for a minute and then disable Intel Virtualization (vt-x , vt-d and stuff ) inside BIOS.
Let us know if it is stable.

onboard sound disabled day1 without a freeze. means nothing but will report findings.
@Nick33 will test your suggestions later, thanks!
