I am considering buying a GA-X58A-UD5 board and I have several questions about the Marvell controller I hope you can answer. Also, I am planning to use it for my Windows 7 64-bit boot drive which is an Intel 160GB G2 SSD.
- Is the Marvell controller bootable in AHCI mode? I read comments elsewhere that it is not.
- Since I am planning to use it with a G2 Intel SSD, I want to be able to use the TRIM command. Which device drivers should I use (i.e., Windows 7's default or Marvell's) to enable TRIM?
- I can't find driver updates on the Marvell site so where do you go for the latest drivers?
- What is the difference between the 9128 controller on this board and the 9123 controller used on competing boards?
