Gigabyte P35C-DS3R - can't overclock
« on: February 13, 2010, 09:45:39 pm »
Hi all

I have a Gigabyte P35C DS3R that used to run my core 2 duo 1.86ghz @ 2.8ghz without breaking a sweat for almost 2 years.  I have just added a new video card (ATi 5850) and the overclock has been lost - whenever I set the overclock, the system POSTs, starts listing the hard drives, reboots and removes the overclock! This is even if I set a 1mhz increase :O It just won't accept manual settings!

Voltages are fine, system temp is 35*, cpu temp is 25* I really don't understand what's going on. Any ideas?

Tried using the latest BIOS? You say voltages are fine what volts are you using for CPU and FSB?

What kind of power supply do you have? Those new videocards need alot of juice to run em.
