GA-Z87X-UD3H - Boot Failure Detected - XMP Memory Profile
« on: August 02, 2013, 08:04:20 pm »
Hello,

When i activate the memory XMP profile i receive a boot failure:

Boot Failure Detected
------
Current CPU Speed 3692.15 MHZ
Current BCLK: 99.78 MHZ
Current Memory Speed: 1330.51 MHZ

My specs:
Processos i7 4770
Mobo GA-Z87X-UD3H
Memory Corsair Vengeance 2 x 8GB CMZ32GX3M4X1866C10 Intel XMP Certified on channel A

Returning memory frequency to 1333 MHZ runs with no problem
I would take the memory to the maximum

Any help?

Please check your memory one by one to see if memory problem or compatibility issue.
the latest one is F7 bios now.
you may try to update it again.

Ok... I flashed the BIOS to the latest version (F7) and checked the memory one by one. The problem continues when i activate de XMP profile (1866mhz).
Could be my processor i7 4770 (without the K) the limitation?

you may adjust your memory multipiler to 16 to run 1600 and see if it works.
then try to set 18.66.
if fails, may try to add some voltage to memory.

I tried change the multiplier to 16 and it didnt work.
I tried multiplier 18.66 and same screen "boot failure detected".
Increased the voltage gradually from 1.5 to 1.6 but the pc crashed while saving bios.
Other suggestions?

you may bring your system back to computer shop to check if it is motherboard problem or memory module problem.
