P55A-UD3 Problems

P55A-UD3 Problems
« on: February 09, 2010, 04:16:23 pm »
I have tried looking on the internet for a solution to this but they all don’t work so i thought i would try here.

I got a new system build which contained

P55A-UD3
4 GB OCZ 1333MHz cl9 1.65v
Core I5 750
Windows 7 Home 64 bit
8800GT 512mb

I tried putting the ram in slots 1+3 but it only reported 2 GB. And when i did memory tests it came back with errors. so i decided to send the ram back and get Crucial 4gb Kit 1333mhz cl9 1.5v which is on the support list

When i put the ram in slots 1+3 this time i still get 2 GB/4GB but when i did a memory test it came back with no errors. And i haven’t had any crashes recently.  So the ram looks fine this time but still not enabling the full 4 GB.

With the old memory i could get the computer to boot if the ram was in slot 1 (only 1 stick)

Thanks..
 Tristan

Put the memory in the two white colored slots and leave the two blue slots empty. You should be good to go!
