Sound in 1 speaker only!! GA-MA770-DS3(rev. 1.0)

GA-MA770-DS3(rev. 1.0)

I can only get sound out of the front left speaker on my 5.1 setup. I have tried other 5.1 speakers, and get the same problem. I also only get sound from the left headphone whether I plug my headphones into the front panel, the back, or into the speakers themselves. This occurs whether I use Vista 64 or Windows XP. I only get a hissing sound from the other speakers, whether I am playing a sound or not. Realtek HD Audio application is configured correctly for 5.1, and it senses the plugs plugged in correctly. I have tried the latest and the original drivers off the CD. I believe it is a hardware fault. Can anyone help??

Hi

first disconnect any cables from F_AUDIO onboard pinout. make sure that 2CH Speaker is selected in Audio I/O tab of Realtek HD audio application, then connect headphones to rear green line out. if still no sound from right headphone then most probably you need to return this mobo for RMA to the shop where it was purchased.
ZX-S & C64 are still my favourites ;-)
